Does it need to have the exhaust hose and windows kit vented？

Yes, the hose and windows plate must be vented when Cooling. hose and windows kit are included in the package, and it can speed​up cooling.

Can it automatically swing left and right?

Yes, it can auto swing left and right from 55 to 135 degree, but up and down wind can only be adjusted manually from 0 to 85 degree.

How does the water drain from it?

No needed to drain when as a cooling ac or fan. but in extremely damp room or use as a dehumidifier, you may need to drain with water pipe (package included).

What is the noise level in cooling mode?

The noise level is 48-56 dB when cooling, and in sleep mode(low wind), it is less than 48 dB, which is lower than the volume of conversation.

Can this air conditioner be used with any household socket?

The working current is 11A, 115V, but max is 18A for turbo mode, so the socket and wire need to support 20A current
